Platform choice

Why not select an MFT platform immediately?

A platform can solve a lot, but only if the real problem lies in centralisation, control, visibility, governance or recovery.

A small number of well-managed SFTP flows with clear owners, centralised key management, good monitoring and predictable recovery can function perfectly well without a heavy MFT migration. Conversely, a relatively small organisation with many partners, critical deadlines and distributed scripts may quickly need central MFT capabilities.

This advisory route therefore treats MFT as a potential management and automation layer, not an automatic replacement for SFTP. The choice follows from operational complexity, risk, auditability and management overhead.
