Managed system integration

Harmonizer

Let your cloud systems exchange data.

Harmonizer is a managed integration service. It retrieves information from one system, transforms it where needed and passes it to another. This can reduce the need for employees to enter the same data again.

Free of charge and without obligation. Around 30 minutes, through Microsoft Bookings. Privacy information.

The data already exists. Just not in the right place.

A new employee is recorded in the HR system, but their details still need to reach other applications. Or customer details change in the CRM while remaining outdated elsewhere. Harmonizer can connect these data flows.

What this could look like in practice

Three working situations where this solution could play a part.

Register an employee

A recorded change in the HR system can pass the relevant details to connected applications.

Synchronise customer data

Agreed customer fields are exchanged between the CRM and another system, with a clear choice of the authoritative source.

Prepare data for its destination

Data can be transformed into the fields and structure required by the receiving system.

How could this help your organisation?

Less duplicate entry

Use data from an existing source in other applications rather than transferring it manually each time.

Integration management as a service

Harmonizer describes maintenance and support as part of its service model. The agreed service scope determines what is managed.

Visibility into integrations

The supplier describes ongoing monitoring, allowing problems to be identified and followed up within the agreed service scope.

Which organisations could this suit?

The key question is which cloud applications need to exchange data. HR and CRM processes are familiar examples. This does not make any one industry automatically the best match.

Smaller organisations using several cloud applications

An integration can be useful when employees repeatedly transfer the same data and you want to outsource integration management.

Larger organisations with management requirements

With several integrations, ownership, monitoring and clear arrangements for errors and changes become important. The integration is assessed against those requirements.

What does setting it up involve?

We determine which information is needed, which system is authoritative and how exceptions are handled. A working integration also needs arrangements for changes to connected systems.

Available API access

An API is a way for systems to exchange data. Harmonizer requires accessible APIs. Isolated applications running locally need a separate feasibility assessment.

Fields, rules and management

We define which fields are transferred, when transfers occur and who owns the integration. Support and maintenance belong in the service agreement.

Data, access and control

An integration processes information from your systems. Access, hosting and data processing are assessed alongside the intended data flow.

Hosting in the Netherlands

According to Harmonizer's FAQ, it uses an Exonet data centre in the Netherlands. Connected applications and other processors have their own data locations.

ISO 27001

Harmonizer states that it holds ISO 27001 certification, a standard for managing information security. When selecting the service, we check which organisation and services the certificate covers.

Limited access

The required API permissions and data processing arrangements form part of setup. We also assess logging, retention and support access.

Your process first, then the solution

I am Joshua Boermans, an Automation Consultant at Korper. I assess what could be automated and where it would add value. I then work with technical colleagues to shape a suitable approach. Korper is a partner of the supplier described here.

  1. Understand the work

We discuss the current steps, manual work and exceptions. You do not need to choose a tool beforehand.

  2. Assess the options

We consider the expected value, existing systems and the ongoing management required.

  3. Agree a suitable next step

If automation is a good fit, we identify the technical work needed. We coordinate implementation with the technical team at Korper.

Questions before you choose

Is this software I manage myself?

Harmonizer is offered as a managed integration service. The service agreement defines what the supplier manages and what your organisation handles.

Can every system be connected?

That depends on available APIs, permissions and the data required. Closed or isolated local systems need additional assessment.

Does all data stay in the Netherlands?

The stated hosting location applies to Harmonizer's infrastructure. The connected systems and processors must also be considered for the full data flow.

What should I bring to a conversation?

The system names, the data to be exchanged and an example of the current manual work are a useful starting point.

Discuss the process you want to improve
